October giving is for The Harbor Children's Alliance and Victim Center.
The Harbor provides a safe haven for child victims of sexual and physical abuse or neglect where they may be interviewed by a trained interviewer in a child-friendly, non-threatening and non-institutional environment. We also work with adult survivors of domestic violence and stranger and non-stranger sexual assault. Services include a 24 hour crisis intervention hotline, accompaniment to medical exams/forensic exams, court and law enforcement agencies 24 hours a day, parenting and anger management program, dynamics of sexual assault/ awareness, character education in all elementary schools in Calhoun County, and a case management program.
