Mission Statement

For those who feel lost on a dark sea, we want to be the beacon of Christ’s light bringing them to the shores of salvation. For those who have found the light, we want to be here to help keep them firmly planted on Christ’s solid foundation.

About lighthousegmcpl.org

Lighthouse Methodist Church held its first service February 19, 2023, and is an independent Methodist church.

On July 3, 2024, we purchased Christ Community Church, 1101 Calhoun St. See our "What's New" page for details.

We have Sunday School at 9 am with Sunday Services starting at 10 am.

Our service is a blend of traditional with contemporary in the mix.  At Lighthouse you can enjoy those hymns of years ago along with songs of current day.

Communion is served every Sunday.  We believe in an open table, so all are welcome to receive.

What we believe

Since its inception, God’s Spirit has enlivened the Methodist movement. In the 1720s John and Charles Wesley and friends at Oxford University met together to deepen their Christian faith through daily, practical spiritual disciplines. Derided by others as a “new sect of Methodists” for their “methodical” ways of practicing the faith and holding one another accountable to it, the small group embraced the insult and persevered in their fellowship. And so they and the millions who followed after them have ever since been known as “the people called Methodists.”
